Very few bands have come out of Orlando with the potential impact of The James Boyd Band.  After only two live gigs they were nominated by the Orlando Sentinel as the "Best Band in Orlando".  The Orlando-based quintet was derived from the best moonlighting musicians out of the top bands in Orlando, Florida.  The James Boyd Band had the appropriate commercial sheen, songwriting ability, musicianship and showmanship to appeal to all audiences from teenagers to housewives. This was a vision inspired by manager Gary Carolla, a multi-platinum record producer/songwriter.

Gary Carolla has produced such artists as Snap, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears and Aaron Carter.

The James Boyd Band then recording sessions produced several potential hits including   "I Think About You", "You're My Everything" and "Centerfolds", the latter full of pop culture riffs ranging from Playboy's Hugh Hefner to the tabloid queens of the day.  Another standout from the debut release of The James Boyd Band is a classic remake of "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas.  This song will not only rock your ass off but it will appeal to several generations of audiences from old to young.

Spectra Records signed The James Boyd Band to a multi-record deal in hopes their follow up albums are half as good as their debut. The band is prepared for a worldwide launch and is currently planning a tour and penciling in dates.
